Design Objectives
The design objective is one that creates exitement for all players of every level. Multiple tees will be established to create a variety of distinct yardages rangingn from 5,200 to ever 7,300 yards. Further variety will be incorporated into the hole designs through elevation changes, numerous water features and multi-tiered green complexes. Multiple bunkering features, balanced dogleg holes, testy par threes including an island green, are balanced out by long demanding holes. The northwest wind will come into play on many shots offering a new experience every time out. Water features are balanced on the left and right. Their strategic placement will create gambling cape holes and heroic carries. All severe hazards will be complemented with "bail-out" areas so the average player can successfully manage their games. Bail-out areas are extended portions of the fairway or collar which provide a closely mown are free of any hazard. Our desire is to reward good play and allow the golfer many options on how to play each hole. Fairways will be wide and fair off the tee. However, there will still be a distinct advantage for positioning your tee shot in a particular section of the fairway. Rolling terrain will be developed to add the links touch while the landscape treatment will enhance the regional character. This will be a course of lasting nature, one that will continue the legacy of the game for generations to come. |
