Vision 2010

Vision 2010 is the city of Fresno’s eight year, comprehensive strategy for revitalizing Fresno’s central core. Over $1 billion will be invested into Fresno’s downtown and regional areas. The mayor and council, along with staff and downtown stakeholders, worked together to develop Vision 2010 for downtown Fresno.

Vision 2010 also incorporates several new initiatives for downtown:

Revitalized Fulton Mall with possible limited traffic and refurbished pedestrian and landscaped areas including:

              • Multiplex theater
              • Farmer’s market
              • Festival area

Riverwalk/Lake Project: A mixed-use commercial, office and residential area on nine city blocks south of the new stadium.

The vision 2010 team developed this strategy as an achievable action strategy, with identified financial resources, to guide revitalization to significant completion by the year 2010.
